Protected areas

This compares the vulnerability levels inside and outside of all of the country's protected land. Almost one-third of Panama is protected.

Green areas represent protected areas, which range from anthropological reserves, biological corridors, biological reserves, forest reserves, hydrological protection zones, national marine parks, national parks, national wildlife refuge, private reserves, protected forests, protective zone, recreation area, and wildlife refuges.
